About Awana
Awana is a unique program for boys and girls, ages 3 to 6th grade. It's emphasis is on developing a personal relationship with Jesus Christ. Through Scripture memorization and application, Awana's goal is to reach boys and girls and their families with the good news of Jesus Christ and train them to serve Him. Awana also teaches children to learn the importance of being team members, responding to authority and learning discipline, all within a biblical world view.
Awana offers a series of clubs and programs, each geared to the needs of a particular age or grade. You can contact our Awana Commander, Peggy Hansen, at (760) 724-1226 for more information.
Cubbies (3 & 4 years olds)
Cubbies is the club for preschoolers during the two years prior to regular kindergarten (usually 3 and 4 year olds). Cubbies is unique because it supports and maintains the parents as the primary source of spiritual nurturing by directly involving them in the teaching and learning process. Cubbies uses fundamental Awana elements of Bible memorization, handbooks, awards, and activities. Developmentally appropriate lessons and activities combine basic Bible truths with popular preschool concepts of colors, shapes, numbers, and letters.

Truth & Training (3rd - 6th Grade)
Truth & Training is the club for 3rd and 6th-graders. Each Club session is divided into three segments. During Handbook Time, kids earn awards for memorizing scripture and working in their handbook. During Game Time, clubbers enjoy games played on the Awana Game Circle. During Council Time, kids enjoy singing and a bible lesson.
