Women's Ministry
The Women's Ministry at Valley Bible Church exists to disciple women in the personal knowledge of Jesus Christ and the application of His Word to their daily lives. When women are discipled by other women in the faith they are encouraged in their daily walk with God, supported through life's challenges, and equipped to share the life-changing gospel of Jesus Christ.
Women grow and connect with others at Valley Bible Church by participating in One-to-One Discipleship opportunities, women's Bible studies and yearly outreach and fellowship events.

Prayer Shawl Ministry
What is a Prayer Shawl?
A special shawl to be snuggled in. A physical expression of our prayers, a reminder of our love and God's blessings. A gift of hope, of comfort, of peace and love.
Who is Welcome in this Ministry?
Anyone who has the desire to use the talent God has given us to create a special wrap called a Prayer Shawl.
Training & Lessons
People interested in learning to knit or crochet may make arrangements to attend and meet with an experienced stitcher. Others who have knowledge of stitching will have assistance available to learn new patterns and share in creating shawls with others in this ministry. You may choose to start out by making a scarf or blanket too.
Commitment Required
Generally, we will meet once a month to pray and create together. The meeting will be held according to the schedule on a Friday evening of each month from7pm to 9pm at the home of Jody Hall, 858 Viking Lane, San Marcos. The group usually breaks for the Summer. There is a limited yarn supply available; you may choose to purchase your own supplies.
Prayer & Requests
The ministry will take requests for prayer shawl recipients. The shawl creator will pray for the comfort and joy of the recipient of the shawl and give thanks for their ability to create the shawl for them. Shawls can be used for undergoing medical procedures; as a comfort after a loss or in times of stress; during bereavement; prayer and meditation; or other endless possibilities. Completed shawls will be prayed over by Care/Community groups before being presented with a card to the recipient. A scrapbook detailing our ministry, co-founded by Pauline Currie in 2007, is available for browsing at the church Information Center in the Lobby.
You can find out more about this ministry by contacting Jody Hall at (760) 798-4060.
