Missions
The purpose of Missions at Valley Bible Church is to fulfill the Great Commission given to us by Jesus Christ. We reach out to the unsaved beyond our local sphere of influence in an intentional way:
- By showing the love of Jesus Christ through ministering to human need
- By assisting in church planting beyond our borders
- By supporting those who are called to serve.
Our Missionaries

This fall we had the privilege of helping to start 5 new clubs, (4 in San Diego & 1 in Imperial). It was exciting to be a part of helping churches see how Awana can be a part of their church’s ministry & purpose to help children come to know, love and serve Jesus.
We have had the chance to visit over 20 churches & clubs & get to know some of the leaders & clubbers in our area. Those visits have been a blessing to us & it is encouraging to hear stories from both leaders & commanders about families and lives that have been impacted and changed through the ministry. In November we spent three days in Palm Desert with Awana missionaries from our PacWest team, (California, Nevada and Hawaii). It was time of debriefing from Summer & Fall training as well as a time of vision-casting & “how-to” brainstorming as we try to align our goals & desires with God’s will to reach boys & girls for eternity. The meetings concluded with a time of celebration with the Awana Lifeline ministry at the opening of their new offices in Santa Clarita. If you haven’t heard about this fantastic ministry take a look at Awana Lifeline.
