Thankfulness: Saying and Showing
Series: Thanksgiving
Simon the Pharisee, a religious leader, has invited Jesus to dine in his home (only Luke has Jesus being invited specifically to the home of a Pharisee). Suddenly, an uninvited, unnamed woman appears who is described simply as a “sinner in the city.” Without speaking, she weeps, wets Jesus’ feet with her tears, wipes them with her hair, kisses them, and anoints them with perfumed oil (verse 38). Today we are welcoming Pastor OJ Mozon as guest speaker. Pastor OJ will be exploring on what the Bible is speaking to us through this story.

Why Thanksgiving and Generosity Go Together
    Series: Thanksgiving
Giving thanks is an attitude that shows maturity in our walk with the Lord.  The Psalmist wrote: “I will give thanks to the Lord with my whole heart.” (Psalm 9:1a) We can choose to grumble or we can choose to give thanks for what we have, be it a little or a lot.  As Paul said, “for I have learned in whatever situation I am to be content.” (Philippians 4:11b) Paul is an extremely reliable person on this topic.  He was in prison much of his life and also ridiculed by many men of his day for his faith in God.  Paul said, “I bear on my body the marks of Jesus.” (Galatians 6:17b) Being persecuted as he was, he always found time to give thanks. (Ephesians 1:16, Philippians 1:3, Colossians 1:3, etc.) So, what does the Bible say about giving thanks?  Let’s hear what God says about it!

    Thankful in Praise
    Series: Thanksgiving
In today's message, Pastor Kevin will be teaching from Psalm 111.  He will be reading from the NIV translation.  In this hymn, the psalmist exhorts others and resolves himself to praise the Lord, because of His mighty works.   We have much to be thankful for as Pastor Kevin will point out in today's lesson.
